Today when I was making my coffee at school, I saw for the first time a quote that a teacher had put on the wall for us to read. It was one of those ‘light bulb’ moments when you read something that makes total sense! So much so that I’ve decided to share it!
We must constantly remind ourselves that the ultimate purpose of evaluation is to enable students to evaluate themselves. Educators may have been practising this skill to the exclusion of the learners. We need to shift part of this responsibility to the students.
