Teacher Resource: Loving this- PM Exemplars for Teaching Writing (Big Book) & over 30 000 visits to my blog. Thanks for visiting!

I’m not into advertising, but when I find a great resource I think it needs to be shared. My new ‘fav’ is the PM  Exemplars for Teaching Writing Big Books. I’ve recently purchased this book (Level 1) for each Prep grade. This week I used the Recount as a teaching focus and scaffold. Many of my Preps need to structure their writing, as they are writing 4 to 5 sentences. I’ll be using this book each week to extend my student’s writing and to introduce new genres.  I’m a visual learner, so I’ve posted a number of pictures to show the contents.

‘The PM Writing Exemplars for Teaching Writing are large format books designed to help teachers model the conventions of written language in whole-class and small-group sessions. The books provide the initial introduction to each text type, presenting and deconstructing exemplars of the 9 text types taught across the 4 levels. The Exemplars for Teaching Writing form the start of the PM Writing suggested teaching pathways. The material presented in these books is reinforced through use of the Interactive Writing Pro Formas and Student Books. Each exemplar text is presented over three double-page spreads.’  NELSON CENGAGE Learning

I hope you’re enjoying the new look of my blog, it was time for a change!
